Anti-Corruption Movement Anticorruptology

First Encounter with Kalo Surya

It must have been around 2063/64 B.S. (2006/07 A.D.), when I had just completed my S.L.C. examinations. I had developed a habit of buying newly published books, newspapers, and magazines whenever I could afford them, and reading them whenever I found time. During that period, I happened to come across a book titled Kalo Surya by Bharat Jangam.

I read it not because I knew much about it, but simply because I believed in reading and learning. The novel flowed deeply and powerfully. It revealed how even family members, including one’s own spouse, can encourage corruption, and how various systems and institutions within society and the state function behind the scenes. Those ideas stirred deep reflection within my heart and mind.

Beginning of the Moral Education Campaign

Perhaps influenced by that very experience, while studying M.P.A. in 2072 B.S., I initiated the Moral Education Foundation Nepal (M.E.F. Nepal) campaign. At that time, the country was focused on the promulgation of the constitution. However, my concern was: what is the real problem of the nation? In that process, I came to believe that corruption is one of the country’s greatest problems, and that moral education is its true solution. With the conviction that moral education is necessary at every level of society, we began this अभियान.

From Social Media to Spiritual Association

Later, I saw Bharat Jangam Guruji on social media. I followed him, communicated through Messenger, and eventually spoke with him over the phone as well. I would often ask him questions and share my thoughts. We tried to meet two or three times, but it did not happen.

The First Personal Meeting

In 2083 B.S., during the Greater Pashupat Pada Yatra initiated through the sacred resolve of Swami Ramanananda Giri Maharaj Ji, Swamiji himself introduced me to Bharat Jangam in his room. I shared with him that I had been following and learning from him for a long time. He kindly invited me to visit him after the yatra was completed.

Realisation of the Guru–Disciple Bond

A few days after the pilgrimage ended, I went to meet him. We had a profound satsang. That satsang gave me a deep realization that this connection would not remain temporary, but would continue forever across ages in the sacred bond of Guru and disciple.
