At Castello Cashmere Industries, we believe textile education should connect theory with practical experience. Our approach encourages interns to observe, ask questions, experiment responsibly, document their learning, and understand the people and processes behind textile products. Interns may have opportunities to interact with artisans and workshop professionals, subject to availability. The programme is designed around learning and supervised participation; independent operation of machinery or chemical processes is not permitted without appropriate training and supervision.
Why Nepal? Nepal offers a distinctive context for exploring traditional craftsmanship, natural fibres, local materials, and handmade textiles. From Himalayan cashmere and wool to handloom weaving, botanical colours, and handmade knitwear, the country’s textile traditions offer valuable opportunities to study the connection between natural resources, cultural knowledge, livelihoods, and contemporary design. Through this internship, we aim to help learners appreciate both the technical processes and the human stories behind sustainable textiles.
We believe the future of textiles lies in respecting nature, preserving traditional skills, supporting responsible production, and encouraging creativity through conscious choices.
